Little Bunny Frou Frou.

I'm sure everybody remembers when Marc Jacobs debuted his outrageous bunny ears during his Louis Vuitton show last year.

In case you're confused, here's Marc's explanation behind these interpretive ears of our favorite furry friends. I instantly loved them and thought they were genius, but I didn't give them much thought beyond that because (1) I can't afford $400 bunny ears and (2) when would I even wear bunny ears?!

That whole mindset changed when I was recently browsing the Forever 21 website and found these:

At $4.80, they're a good knockoff at about 99% of the price! This gives the idea of wearing bunny ears a whole new perspective. I mean, for $4.80, you never know when you'll need a pair! I haven't had a chance to stop by Forever 21 yet, but I can't wait to see them in person. Have any of you had a chance to pick these up?

Consistent with this style, fashion icons Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sported some lace bunny and mouse ears by Maison Michel at the Opening Ceremony Tokyo flagship store opening reception party.

After seeing many interpretations of these on lookbook.nu, I began to wonder how easy it is to make your own. How hard could they be since they are primarily made of lace? After googling ways to construct your own Maison Michel ears, I found two blogs that show inexpensive and easy ways to make them! One is on the blog, Tiny Sparkly Things. And the other is on Behind the Seams. Though each blog shows how to recreate Maison Michel's ears a little differently, both are excellent and it's really just a matter of preference in deciding which way to go about making them. I am eager to make a pair of my own and will definitely share the finished product on here!

Exhausted.

I am emotionally exhausted from a number of things that aren't exactly going how I wish they were right now. It frustrates me that I can't find a balance now, when there was one a couple of months ago. Though I've gotten closer to some, I've grown further from others. Though I try, repeatedly, day-after-day, I see no results. I guess this is a test of my endurance and strength.

Even though New York was amazing and I could never imagine Spring Break '10 any other way, I never let myself have the emotional break I usually have when I go home for a couple of days. I need that emotional break. I need to get away. I need a vacation. (Yes, I'm aware school just started. School's not hard (yet), but I still need a break)

Looking at the bright side, since my summer plans have gone down the drain, maybe I can use this summer to travel a bit!

Hi.

I've been lagging, I know. But finals are over, Spring Break is over, and today is a start of a new quarter! Judging by the amount of books I had to buy this time around, I have a significantly lighter reading/writing load from last quarter. That being said, I will [hopefully] have more time to blogblogblog! :) Even though I don't have to write as much for school assignments anymore, I don't want my writing to deteriorate, so I will do the best I can to post in this blog as consistently as I can.

I look at a new quarter as a means to start fresh. It's like New Years Day 3 times a year instead of one time a year! So with this quarter, I want to be more creative. Hone in on my artistic side & finish all the projects I've been itching to work on, but have had no time to even touch. Wish me luck!

New York recap coming soon...

Ciao!

New York.

Countdown: 5 days!!!

New York is known as the city that never sleeps. Based on this fact alone, I belong in New York because apparently, I never sleep either.

That being said, I can't wait for finals to be over because that means our trip to New York will finally be here!! It hasn't quit hit me yet; it still feels so unreal...but I know it'll be amazing.

On another note, despite the pain and suffering of finals, I am so blessed. Why? Because I have one roommate that makes sure I am awake because she hears my alarm and is afraid I will miss my final, another roommate who lets me borrow her awesome bike when I am late to turn in a final paper, and a boyfriend who encourages me and reminds me to eat, sleep, and brush my teeth when I forget to. ♥

Daze.

My mind has been in such a daze the last couple of days. Thank you, finals. I have been finding myself mindlessly going about the day and every so often I have some random thought in my head.

Thoughts from this morning:
  • If I had waited 10 more minutes to take the B line bus instead of the J line, I would have gotten to ride the big double deck. Every time I ride it, it brightens up my day a little.
  • You know you're in an ethnic studies class when "stank eye" is a possible answer to a question on your multiple choice final.
Back to studying...

Health.

I am taking a mental break from studying...even though I seem to do so every 10 minutes or so. But at this late of the night my brain seems to slow down for about an hour or so and I cannot be productive within this time whatsoever. This usually happens around 2-3 am. Its about 130...seems about right. It's sad that I know this pattern due to my horrible sleep regime. It's amazing that I get an average of 3-4 hours a sleep a night nowadays and am still able to function the next day. I need to fix that. Maybe next quarter?! I hope so. Okay, back to studying. Hopefully I will be a more active blogger once finals are over (and after I come back from New York)!!!

Oops.

Sorry, I've been lagging in posting lately. :( But the end of the quarter is coming up and this is the time where all the work piles up! That being said I can't guarantee more posts in the next couple of weeks because I have to catch up on a lot of work, then its finals, then NEW YORK!! :)

This past Sunday was the 4th annual Share the Love fashion show hosted by the SFA. I was a model for Christine and also helped in the planning of the show. Here's a few pictures from the show that have been posted:
