I'm sure everybody remembers when Marc Jacobs debuted his outrageous bunny ears during his Louis Vuitton show last year.

In case you're confused, here's Marc's explanation behind these interpretive ears of our favorite furry friends. I instantly loved them and thought they were genius, but I didn't give them much thought beyond that because (1) I can't afford $400 bunny ears and (2) when would I even wear bunny ears?!
That whole mindset changed when I was recently browsing the Forever 21 website and found these:
At $4.80, they're a good knockoff at about 99% of the price! This gives the idea of wearing bunny ears a whole new perspective. I mean, for $4.80, you never know when you'll need a pair! I haven't had a chance to stop by Forever 21 yet, but I can't wait to see them in person. Have any of you had a chance to pick these up?
Consistent with this style, fashion icons Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sported some lace bunny and mouse ears by Maison Michel at the Opening Ceremony Tokyo flagship store opening reception party.

After seeing many interpretations of these on lookbook.nu, I began to wonder how easy it is to make your own. How hard could they be since they are primarily made of lace? After googling ways to construct your own Maison Michel ears, I found two blogs that show inexpensive and easy ways to make them! One is on the blog, Tiny Sparkly Things. And the other is on Behind the Seams. Though each blog shows how to recreate Maison Michel's ears a little differently, both are excellent and it's really just a matter of preference in deciding which way to go about making them. I am eager to make a pair of my own and will definitely share the finished product on here!
