i think people get too caught up in the rules and do's/don'ts. it should be about what you believe & how that affects your life and your actions, not about how you're better than someone else because they're doing something that is "wrong." which is one of the many reasons religion & politics definitely shouldn't mix...because that's how religion becomes a "do this, don't do that" sorta thing. and those of you that hate religion, you're just as bad as the people you hate. be open & learn about something new and different. you don't have to believe in it, but you definitely shouldn't hate it. that's being ignorant.
i don't openly practice my religion...i don't even go to church. but i consider myself christian and fully believe in God. one of the two main things that i learned from christianity: love (and don't hate) & always forgive. this has gotten me through the last 7 years.
so in conclusion, don't hate what you don't know. and religion is more than just rules.
