culturally aware.

the last week and a half has really impacted me in such a way that i realize i can no longer ignore what is going on in the world. not that i am in complete oblivion, but i tend not to pay so much attention to the news while i'm in davis because, somehow, it doesn't seem as relevant to me. as i have said numerous times before, i live in a little bubble here. but i want to change that, so i am going to strive to be more aware of what is going on in the world. how can i study ethnic and social relations without being aware of what is currently going on?!
